"free AT LAST, free AT LAST", with those immortal words from Martin Luther King Jrs. famous speech at the Lincoln Memorial to the goosebump stimulating first lyrics of the song that led the first dance of President Obama and First Lady(wow feels so good saying that). it seems to all have come full-circle. Click This---First Dance A day up to this point most people could have only dreamed about now has arrived and what a great day it was. Yes, hes the first black president...but thats not the only thing that makes this such a magnificent occasion. For once i feel as if i can trust the president..believe in him..and know he will make the right decision not for his best interest but for our country. To sum it up, Security...yea thats what it is security.
I spent the greater part of the day getting lost in the words of the freshly sworn in President Obama and the many events/parade that followed; completely disregarding the fact that outside was a white, blanket of snow. I still can't believe right now that all this is happening. Times are a changin'..truly. Even though i'm so young, only 16..i feel as though i was indirectly part of this great feat/ceremony. It has inspired me to go out and do something to benefit others. He has that affect. The only question is..what to do? Well either way i know it is time to stop being the example and start setting it. I vow and pledge to find something to do..to help others..to benefit the community. I must.
well off to bed...last exam tomorrow..biology..ahh! i'm prepared..(i think?)
