on the eve of greatness....

oi i have too much energy right now. it probably doesn't help the fact that im drinking coke. which brings me to another topic. i went to the dentist today and got a filling for a cavity (another reason i probably should drink somethin with less sugar..but hey the stuff is good)...other than having my mouth numb for half the day..today was the ideal day.

so this evening i hung out with some friends and his house. we wii'd it up for a bit (i'm the master of tennis...fyi.) and just hung. somehow the idea of burnin` my friends shoebox full of his and his ex's like keepsake memorable stuff came up....so they set up a little bon fire in his backyard and burned away. this girl was with him for over a year. as the ashes grew i was just thinkin 'man years of memories and keepsakes (promise rings etc..) and little notes of endearment gone down the drain'...as much as i was over being with somebody idk if i could ever bring myself to just literally destroying every aspect of that relationships. i think that from each relationship you learn something about yourself or what you want in a relationship..i guess its the old saying "you live and you learn"..but yea idk...as fun as it was to just see the fire...just thinkin about the intentions of all those little notes and tokens of love and what they represented...even though it's in the past..idk..but anywhoo i should stop rambling..

HAPPY MLK DAY!!!!
speakin of which it is kind of ironic that today is that day being that it is the day before such an historic event! the inaguration of BARACK OBAMA!!! all day other then watching countless hours of Man vs. Wild (bear grylls is the man...) i've been watchin lots and lots of pre-inaguration stuff and i couldn't help but have tears coming from my eyes. i actually feel for once like im witnessing greatness..history. until now i've only read about it in textbooks and watched those poorly put together movies on it..but now its a reality. idk i've felt the difference he's made already. these past few months have just been so enlightening for me. i can only imagine and hope that the future will be equally or better than now. i was actually supposed to be in D.C..that would've been awesome to witness this with my family first-hand..but oh-well..i still am exciting. what a great day tomorrow will be. "its been a long time comin, but change is gonna come", and it has!

oh and their calling for 2-4 in. of snow.....could tomorrow get any sweeter?
